Working with Ariba Assembled Documents and Microsoft Word: Most of the time, when you first work on your document, it’s status will be Not Generated. As a habit, the first thing you should do is generate the document and then save. This ensures that there’s a copy in the DFS vault and a copy in Ariba. You can now begin editing in Word if you want to, or, if you’re going back to Ariba, make sure you CLOSE WORD.
